Singapore PM Arrives in Addis Ababa Following G20 Summit

Singapore’s Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Lawrence Wong, arrived in Addis Ababa for an official visit after participating in the G20 Summit held in South Africa.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) welcomed Mr Wong upon his arrival at Bole International Airport, marking the beginning of the Singaporean leader’s official engagements in Ethiopia.
In a statement shared on his social media platforms, Prime Minister Abiy remarked, “This visit represents an important milestone in deepening the partnership between our two nations and will play a pivotal role in identifying new avenues for cooperation.”
This marks Mr Wong’s first visit to African Union member states—South Africa and Ethiopia—since assuming office as Prime Minister in May 2016.
