Addis Ababa - Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on Tuesday received Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, upon his arrival at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa for an official visit to Ethiopia.
The visit highlights the deepening strategic partnership between Ethiopia and Türkiye, reflecting expanding cooperation across political, economic and diplomatic spheres.
Officials say the engagement is expected to advance bilateral ties through high-level discussions and the strengthening of existing frameworks of collaboration.
President Erdoğan’s arrival also reinforces Addis Ababa’s standing as a regional diplomatic hub, hosting frequent high-level state visits and serving as a focal point for international diplomacy on the African continent.
